New future for East Side seafood restaurant
Catfish Willy’s Seafood and Crab Shack has announced that in February, the business will be rebranded Catfish Willy’s Seafood and Comfort Cuisine. The restaurant will add homestyle dishes such as meatloaf to their menu of seafood specialties. We’ll share more information as it becomes available.

New chef, new lunch hour for Downtown bistro
Cosmos Bistro has begun lunch service and welcomes new lunch chef Madison Venecz. The lunch menu includes items such as pink oyster mushroom ceviche, salads, slider sandwiches with spiced yellow rice, quiche and meatloaf. Many vegan dishes are offered. Lunch hours are Monday – Friday from 10 am-2 pm Dinner hours are Wednesday – Saturday from 5-9 pm, and on Sunday brunch is served from 10 am-2 pm

Burger and ice cream joint now selling salads
The Dairettes in Henderson, Kentucky, is a walk-up Ice Cream and Burger restaurant, but if your winter diet demands healthier food you may now stop there for a salad. Two new salad offerings are the spinach and fruit salad with fresh orange wedges, berries and nuts with berry vinaigrette dressing and salad with grilled or fried chicken, eggs, tomatoes, cheese and croutons.

New Filipino food truck
Feed the 5000 is a new Filipino food truck operating out of Owensville, Indiana. The menu includes chicken curry, orange chicken,pant noodles, spring rolls egg rolls and Crab Ragoon. The truck will make a slow start this winter and be ready to roll by warm weather. Watch for engagements on its Facebook page.

Pancake breakfast for a cause
A pancake breakfast will be hosted by the Evansville Civic Theatre at the Eastminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Jan. 14, from 7-10:30 am The $10 price nets you a to-go box of breakfast with a drink of your choice. You may take the meal out with you or relax to eat at a table inside the church. Proceeds support the Evansville Civic Theatre.

Pizza Week is here
Evansville Pizza Week will have its fourth annual run from Sunday, Jan. 8 through Saturday, Jan. 14. A dozen or more pizza restaurants in Evansville will offer special $8 pizza deals. It might be a price reduction on a popular menu item, a special meal bundle or a creative off-menu. Microbrewery to open in Owensboro
The Pub on Second in Owensboro, Kentucky, will open a new craft brewery in February. It will be Owensboro’s second brewery, alongside the Brew Bridge. Expect four taps of house beer as well as a continuing wide selection of craft and domestic brews, spirits and signature cocktails.

Thai restaurant to open in Downtown Evansville
Thai Delicious is the new Thai restaurant coming to Downtown Evansville in the former Shing Lee building. Look for dishes such as Pad Thai noodles, Thai curry, stir fried meat and vegetable dishes and more. An opening date has not been announced.

Breakfast and Bluegrass
the Windy Hollow Biscuit House will be hosting Live Bluegrass on Saturdays in January from 11 am – 1 pm Enjoy the music with your breakfast entree, big biscuit sandwich, or country ham breakfast buffet. The Bluegrass Brothers will be playing on the 14ththEmmie Kate Williams on the 21st and Sara Malone on the 28th.

Wine tasting dinner
Venue 812 and The Wine Vault will be collaborating on a Wine Pairing Dinner on Thursday, Jan 19, at 5:30 pm at Venue 812. Dinner will include sliced beef filet with chateaubriand sauce and teriyaki salmon among other courses, each with a selected wine to accompany . Tickets Are $75 per person and include tax and gratuity.
